More on the RAW file format in the upcoming section, “Raw file formats.”
Photoshop also offers another file format: the EPS, which stands for Encapsulated PostScript. This is a true PostScript file that includes information about the page size and other printing-related data. Although Photoshop supports printing and sharing a PSD file, it is not required to do so, and this can save you the hassle of keeping track of all the printing parameters.
* **They offer many file types:** The Photoshop file type system includes BMP, EPS, GIF, HTML, JPEG, PSD, and TIFF. Although you can save a bitmap (BMP) or even a JPEG, the best formats for printing are the EPS and TIFF files.
* **They come in different color models:** Photoshop offers two color models: CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) and RGB (red, green, and blue). A color model is an attempt to convey more information about how colors relate to one another. For

What are some of the hidden features of Photoshop Elements?
In this post we’ll take a look at Photoshop Elements’ hidden features and some of its most useful editing tools.
We’ll also show you how to add filters to images using Photoshop Elements.
Who am I?
I’m Kingfisher, and I’ve been using Photoshop Elements for many years. I work at a digital marketing company as a web designer, and I’ve been editing images for my entire career, including photo and video editing, graphic design and sharing on social media.
I’ve been using Photoshop for most of my career, from 2.5 to 12. I went through and recreated all the hidden features of Photoshop from scratch using Photoshop Elements to make this guide and feature a more accurate look and feel.
1. Pen Tool
Why is it so important?
A pen tool is a useful tool when creating line art and sketching designs. The pen tool allows you to draw freehand, so you’re not restricted by a pencil or ruler.
The pen tool also allows you to draw paths that you then use as guides to move, rotate, scale and resize your images, as well as animate shapes, text and graphics.
The Pen Tool has a shape tool and a drawing mode.
The shape tool is actually a collection of tools that let you draw and cut shapes from an image. You can select individual dots, drag a path, merge, or distort shapes, and you can control the thickness of the line.
The drawing mode lets you create lines, shapes, and shapes that you can edit and manipulate, or you can just use them as guides to move, rotate and resize your image.
You can change the drawing mode by holding down the Option key. You can also choose your drawing mode when using other tools.
2. Lasso Tool
Why is it so important?
The Lasso tool is the most-used tool in Photoshop Elements. You can use it to select an area of an image, add that area to an image, or select a range of pixels and remove them from an image.
You can select an area by clicking and dragging to draw a shape, or you can directly drag an area, and then you can paint or draw over the selected

The Gradient Map editor can be used to make your own custom brushes. You can create many different variations on a single brush, like smooth, sharp, or soft. These Gradient Map brushes are great for blending the colors in an image.
The most productive way to use Photoshop is to create a few files that you’ll use over and over. For example, you can save a file with the title of your project. A sample image that you’re working on can be labeled in the filename. If you are a new user, you might even save these as templates for quick editing.
When working in a given folder, you can specify a location. Whenever you save an image, Photoshop will create a new layer on top of the photo layer. This can allow you to easily adjust only the new layer.
If you change your mind about a few pixels and wish to modify them, it’s easy to reverse your changes by selecting the image layer and pressing Ctrl+Z (Windows) or Command+Z (Mac). Photoshop will reverse the damage to the photo layer and you can work from there. It’s important to keep in mind that the undo feature is very powerful. If you wish to undo an action, such as deleting a brush stroke, try using the Undo tool or Ctrl+Z instead.
Features like Photoshop’s Content-Aware Fill make it easy to replace an unwanted area of an image with something else. You can create a new photo layer to this effect.
Selections are an effective way to edit your images using Photoshop.
Selections allow you to choose specific areas of the image. You can edit the selected area and do not affect the rest of the photo.
We would like to share with you the reason to use these selection tools.
Examples of Using Selection Tools
For your convenience, we have some examples which help you understand the difference between various selection tools.
