Besides, Charles doesn’t do things by halves. She has created Eyes Without Borders, a global design empire that exports to Russia, China, and Brazil. She has introduced the careers of 11 children as artwork for the Met’s “Diana and Her Companions” exhibition. She has designed hats, coats, accessories, handbags and even clothes for designer Tommy Hilfiger, the WNBA and the Academy of Country Music.
“People are always going to be surprised,” says Charles, who’s also a senior instructor at the Fashion Institute of Technology and a two-time finalist in Fashion Week’s Stylishly You division.
She is also an ardent supporter of “V” for Vulnerable, a national program started last year by the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
As part of the program, Charles is sponsoring the first-ever Lady Liberty Tattoo for the construction of Liberty’s face, the centerpiece of Liberty Island in New York.
“It’s fitting,” she says. “If we’re going to make America great, I think we have to get the men and women out of the world wars and start with our own family, start with love, and start with family.”

Editable Type and Layers
You can make adjustments to type by copying it and pasting it into another Photoshop file or onto a new document. This can be very useful if you want to change the font or text color.
