Trains, Trains, Trains!
“What’s a train? Ah, that’s a good question. A train is a vehicle with one or several locomotives at the front, pulling carts and passenger cars, freight cars, etc. Trains are used for rapid transportation of people and cargo. A train can also be used to transport an army to another point. And in a battlefield, this is exactly what will happen.
The train driver is the one who transports the train in battle, controls the speed, regulates the brakes, and sets the order. Whoever is in charge of the train sets the orders for the other units to follow, and places the orders on the battlefield.”
The basic principles of a well-made battlefield setting is shown by the opportunity to control the train both on land and at sea.
In the Land of Trains one can have a base in the middle of nowhere with plenty of room for your units to spread themselves, and up to 30km away from the enemy you can command your train. The abilities of your units increase with their closeness to the train.
On the battlefield you can actively participate in the train setting. You can take command of it yourself and take care of it. Or you can let your unit be responsible for it. And once your units reach the target point, you can either leave the train, or you can send it along with your remaining troops.
The basic concept of the battlefield is based on a predetermined final goal. How to reach your goal is planned by a respected strategist. It’s possible to plan and prepare a defeat to an enemy as well.
Staying or leaving a train to battle is equivalent to movement. So you can also move the train on the battlefield, without leaving it – which means a special mobility for your train.
When you’re done exploring the battlefield, feel free to set your sights on another goal, or you can simply retreat back to your base, or even make a new.
The goal of the game is not to simply conquer the map and take over the enemy’s base (their train), but to be the one who sets the rules for the game.
