Suppose we have a std::map>, where for each key the vector is expected to have the same size (which is not provided by the user).
How can we define the initial values for the vector?
The first idea I had was:
std::map> vm;
vm[“x”] = std::vector();
vm[“y”] = std::vector(10);

However, this gives errors for the default constructor and assignment operator.
Is there a way to do that?


You need to use an initializer_list.
std::map> vm;
vm[“x”] = std::vector(10);

Edit: If you know the value of the vector beforehand, you can pass in the value:
std::map> vm;
vm[“x”] = std::vector(10, 42);


Try something like this:
std::map > vm;
vm[“x”] = std::vector(10, 42);

(note the addition of an initializer_list constructor, for VC2010)
If you’re using VS2013, try:
std::map > vm;
vm[“x”] = std::vector(10, 42);

(i.e. use the initializer_list constructor)


It is not possible to define an initial value for a container element (a vector).
You can, however, use a std::initializer_list to initialize the container element (vector).

Open the product you want to install (Autocad > then 3D Warehouse, or Autodesk CAD…).

Go to File > Import > Import file (or Import from file…), select the CSV file you received from the publisher.

Go to Import as dialog, import the file. The files which have been installed will be listed. Choose the one you want to install.

The entry about the version, your registration key and the license key is displayed in the top left of the window.

Launch the application and set your preferences (language,…)

Import your files. The first file it will import is the registration key. If you installed the version provided, you will have the license key (one per file).

Click on Add document button and a window will open. A form will be displayed, you will be asked if you want to accept the terms of the license agreement. Accept if you don’t want to be spied.

Some of the data is used in the Autocad’s license agreement. This data is written in the license.dsm file.


This file is installed in the Autocad’s default folder C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2016. You can copy this file to a safe place and work on it.


When Autocad is installed and launched, you must go to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2016 and copy the license.dsm file (this file contains the license data, check the free version license agreement). Paste it in the corresponding folder (C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2016\…). It is a good idea to remove or rename the license.dsm file. If it is not present, the application will be listed as free (which is a security measure, you must check the license agreement, and you must be registered for it).
